Penerapan model problem based learning (PBL) dalam pendekatan saintifik untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA di sekolah dasar

Abstract


This study aims to improve science learning outcomes by applying the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL). Research conducted at SDN 63 Surabayo, Agam regency, with fifth grade students study subjects totaling 24 students. This research is an action using a model Kemmis and Mc.Taggart, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection action. The process of data collection is done through test results of study, observation, and documentation. The results showed an increase in science learning outcomes, particularly the theme of Environment Our Friends. This is evidenced by an increase in the acquisition of learning outcomes. The average score of student learning outcomes at prasiklus stage was recorded at 63.92%. The score increased to 78.67% at the end of the first cycle, and increased to 86.83% at the end of the second cycle. The observation result shows that the application of the model PBL make students more active learning, courageous and independent in solving issues related to science student's daily life.
